    + **Department:** Neuro Interventional Radiology

    + **Schedule:** PRN M - F7a - 5p, minimum 2 shifts per 6 weeks. On-call rotation required to cover nights, weekends, and holidays. 30-minute response time to hospital. 1 call day per month

    + **Hospital:** Ascension, St. Vincent

    + **Location:** Indianapolis, IN

     

    Ascension St. Vincent Hospital is a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma facility. Offering 24 hour emergent treatment for Myocardial Infarction (STEMIs), STROKEs, and Trauma’s. The Indianapolis campus has 14 procedural labs, 3 cardiac catheterization, 4 electrophysiology, 1 neuro suite, and 4 vascular/body labs.** **We are accepting Radiologic Technologists applicants with experience and new graduates.

    Responsibilities

    Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.

     

    + Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

    + Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

    + Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.

    + Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

    + Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.

    + Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

    Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

    + One or more of the following required:

    + Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

    + Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

    Education:

    + High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
