    Position Overview:

    The Corporate Executive Protection Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing executive protection programs to ensure the safety and security of corporate leadership. This role involves conducting risk assessments, designing security strategies for domestic travel, and managing intelligence-driven protective operations. The director leads executive security teams, coordinates with law enforcement and external security partners, and integrates security protocols into corporate operations. Additionally, this role oversees event security planning, workplace violence prevention, and crisis response efforts, ensuring a proactive approach to mitigating risks that could impact business continuity and executive safety.

    EDUCATION:

    _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._

     

    + Bachelor's: Criminal Justice or related field

    TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

    + 12 years recent relevant experience.

    + Extensive experience in executive protection, including developing, implementing, and managing a portal-to-portal executive protection program.

    + Proven expertise in designing and deploying protective intelligence programs to support security teams and workforce events.

    + Strong background in travel security strategy development and implementation to ensure executive and workforce safety.

    + Demonstrated leadership in recruiting, training, and managing security teams to maintain high standards of protection and service.

    + Advanced risk assessment, crisis management, and event security planning skills to mitigate threats and ensure operational continuity.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

    + Solid expertise in formal/structured security risk assessment methodology, including the ability to mitigate risk by synchronizing the efforts and capabilities of people, process, and technology.

    + In-depth knowledge of building security staffing models; developing post/patrol strategies; effectively applying security technologies; and coherently blending all program elements with tailored processes to effectively manage risk within a clinical environment.

    + Understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies, and policies.

    + Broad working knowledge of health care operations and their related security requirements including, but not limited to, hospitals, clinics, medical offices, and their protective services needs.

    + Extensive knowledge and understanding of current and emerging physical security trends, risks, threats, countermeasures, vulnerabilities, and mitigations ranging across the spectrum from workplace violence to terrorism to loss prevention to behavioral challenges.

    + Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to give presentations and translate complex concepts into business and clinician relatable language.

    + Proven ability to interpret and effectively apply regulatory requirements and industry best practices in ways that are both compliant and tailored to the operational needs and culture of an organization.

    Pay Range is $75.45 to $120.73 / hour

     

    _The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package._ _​_
