The major in Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts in the College of Liberal Arts is a degree program combining humanities, arts, languages, literature, and social sciences so as to foster interdisciplinary knowledge, core career competencies, personal development, professional excellence, interpersonal confidence and expertise, and a deeper understanding of the complex world in which we live.

Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation’s leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Located an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 157,000 residents that offers the convenience of a small town with all the amenities of a large city. Position Summary

The College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Office hires part-time Instructors to teach courses for the Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts major. Courses to be taught include research methods, documentary film as a liberal art, world literature, and senior capstone seminars.

Required Job Qualifications

+ MA ( MFA /PhD for Special Assistant Professor titles) and evidence of excellent teaching capability at the college level required.

+ Demonstrated commitment to and evidence of excellence in teaching capability at the college level required.

Preferred Job Qualifications

+ Experience teaching courses related to Interdisciplinary approaches preferred.

+ Ability to advance Department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion through teaching and outreach.
