    The Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Maryland is seeking a full-time board certified or board eligible Vascular Interventional Radiologist with VIR fellowship training, VIR CAQ or eligible. The ideal candidate will have an interest in a full time 100% VIR academic career, with a resume that reflects potential as a clinician scientist and educator.

     

    The successful candidate will join a division with long pedigree of excellence in clinical VIR practice, with a large ACGME accredited VIR residency (currently 20 integrated and independent IR residents) and world-renowned research facilities. This position will be primarily sited at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore MD, although the division has regional presence having expanded to 3 regional hospitals (2 hospitals in Washington DC suburbs), and including two free standing ambulatory outpatient centers.

     

    Currently, the division is comprised of 15 full time interventional radiologists, 8 physician assistants, 1 nurse practitioner and 1 research coordinator. At The Johns Hopkins Hospital, the VIR division has state of the art equipment including 6 single plane angio rooms, a state of the art hybrid angioCT unit, a dedicated VIR CT scanner, and one iMRI suite. The department is committed to excellence in imaged-based clinical care, with admission privileges, a dedicated consult service, a bedside procedure service, and daily clinic.

     

    The expected base pay for this faculty position is $260,000 (assistant professor). This position is entitled to quarterly supplements that total an additional $105,000 per year subject to meeting the clinical days worked minimum (approximately 180 clinical days per year).

     

    This position also qualifies for a productivity bonus of up to $90,000 per year based on meeting work relative value unit (wRVU) targets, and a year-end academic bonus of up to $40,000 based on meeting goals for academic productivity, education, quality and citizenship. All supplements and bonuses are subject to the timely completion of clinical documentation. As a result, the annual maximum compensation for this position ranges from $495,000 to $535,000 based on academic rank and the factors described above. The levels of base pay, quarterly supplements, productivity bonus and year-end bonus are reviewed annually and are subject to change.     Candidates must be dedicated to teaching future interventional radiologists and desire an academic career. There are excellent research facilities including animal Interventional suites and housing, ­­­­­­­­­­­­opportunities to collaborate with multiple disciplines in basic and translational research, in a division with a strong research history and collaborators across the various medical disciplines including Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, as well as the Bloomberg School of Public Health.

     

    Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Eligibility for a full Maryland medical license and its acquisition before starting employment is required.

     

    Salary: $260,000 - $525,000
