+ The Ithaca City School District is a 1:1 district in grades 3-12. Please provide examples of how you have used or your vision for using digital technology in instruction. Also, please provide evidence of how you stay current with students’ digital world.

Required Qualifications:

+ Possession of (or proof of eligibility for) New York State certification in Technology is required.

+ The successful candidate will:

+ Have excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to apply culturally responsive teaching strategies to motivate and engage students from diverse backgrounds and range of interests.

+ Have a firm understanding of the engineering design process, modeling and prototyping in a multitude of materials; work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

+ Be able to problem solve individually and work as part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team.

+ Demonstrate an ability to improvise and adapt to new conditions within the ever changing field of technology.

+ Familiar with a wide array of tools and machines as well as material processing, including but not limited to: CAD, CAM, CNC, 3D printing, welding, and laser cutting and engraving.

+ An educational leader whose competency, energy, and commitment will help ensure that students thrive;

+ Proven ability to interact effectively with students and their families who represent cultures that are diverse in terms of race, class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and other characteristics in order to build an effective and collaborative school community;

Salary Range: $53,291-$75,191 (10-month full-time base)
