    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    Responsible for providing lactation management services to expectant and new parents that encompass mother/infant assessment for breastfeeding, perinatal and postpartum education, consultations and continuing support for breastfeeding families.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

    + Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Master¿s Degree in Nursing required.

    + Three (3) years maternal child nursing experience required.

    + Certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required.

    + Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact required..

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

    + Master's degree in a job related field preferred.
