+ More than 3 years of experience conducting clinical and translational research in humans

+ Previous teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Familiarity/previous experience conducting research with multiple sites, PIs, and IRBs

The Instructor position will develop and teach the Clinical Science Graduate Program's Ethics and Responsible Conduct of Research in Humans (CLSC 7150) graduate course starting in Fall 2024 to Masters and PhD level students. This course provides an overview of the field of ethics and responsible conduct in clinical and translational research in humans. Topics to be included are COMIRB and IRB requirements, informed consent/assent, historical background, regulatory requirements of human research for devices and therapeutics, human subjects protection, and good clinical practice. The course prepares new investigators who will be conducting research involving human subjects. This course must meet the NIH requirements for investigators. Seminars/classes need to involve hands-on experiences to support learning and developing approaches to address conducting ethical human subjects' research in an optimal manner.

The Clinical Science Graduate Program is a key element of workforce develop in the Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI) and graduate program at the University of Colorado| Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC). The CCTSI is a biomedical research institute at CU Anschutz Medical Campus. As an instructor in the Clinical Science Graduate Program you will preparing future clinical and translational sciences researchers to understand and apply ethical and regulatory frameworks, guidelines and requirements and the role of Ethics regrading research.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $3,800 for single instructor teaching course of 1 credit. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
