Job Summary:

The Intramural Sports Coordinator (1500-hour, part-time) will serve as the primary manager of the intramural sports program and will assist with supervising the recreational facilities and club sports operations.

This position’s primary responsibilities

+ Hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating student staff of 25-50 employees.

+ Provide direct supervision to student employees and ensure employee compliance with department expectations.

+ Conduct ongoing student-employee training sessions and student-employee evaluations.

+ Oversee the planning, scheduling and administration of intramural games, tournaments and special events.

+ Maintain inventory of intramural equipment.

+ ·Facilitate sport-specific captain and employee meetings.

+ Compile and maintain intramural records, end-of-year reports, participation records, operations manuals, rules, etc.

+ Manage schedules and supervision of outdoor recreational sports facilities

Required Qualifications:

+ Demonstrated ability to lead students

+ Demonstrated experience in training and scheduling officials

+ Knowledgeable about recreational programs and services

+ Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

+ Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office and other computer applications

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Affiliation with regional or national sports associations (i.e. NFHS , NCAA , NAIA , ASA , NASO , etc.)

+ Experience in a higher education environment

+ Facility management experience
