Job Description Summary
Provides safe and competent comprehensive health care services to include diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of minor injury to chronic illnesses, providing education, case management, teaching/counseling, health promotion and disease prevention and referral, when appropriate to other health care professionals. Works in collaboration with a sponsor physician or physicians and is legally authorized under their licensing state to provide health care in a variety of settings, either autonomously or in conjunction with a physician.
Job Description
Qualifications:
+ Academic preparation and degree from accredited Physician Assistant Program with current licensure;
+ BCLS certification;
+ ACLS certification (preferred).
Language/Communication Skills:
+ Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing;
+ Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency situation.
Skills:
+ Computer literacy;
+ Ability to operation business machines to include fax and copier;
+ Manual dexterity.
