    Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented **Product Support Engineer I-IV** based at our **Greenville, NC** location.

    What You Will Do:

    + Create and release Service Grams & Bulletins and Knowledge Base entries to the dealer network.

    + Create and review flat rate service times for new and existing products.

    + Maintain technical libraries consisting of service, test data, sales, and training literature on current and non-current products.

    + Monitor Contact Management and other service event data to identify shortcomings in support of HYMH products and prioritize the preparation of needed information to minimize these issues.

    + Act as the primary HYMH service liaison for international teams, marketing, residents, and field service managers.

    + Recommend to engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing plants product changes required to improve product performance, reliability, serviceability, and reduce warranty costs.

    + Provide technical and statistical reports to define the costs and customer dissatisfaction levels related to product deficiencies.

    + Work closely with parts distribution and technical training where additional support is necessary.

    + Define for Engineering and Manufacturing the field test sites for testing improved components.

    + Recommend actions to be taken on products already in the field to resolve safety or customer satisfaction-related issues.

    Who You Are:

    + Considered a central source of information for Service. Since many sales efforts hinge on this support, you must be able to project this image when making written and verbal communication with customer contacts.

    + Capable of developing alternative procedures, components, and labor costs required to satisfy product failures. Decisions must be made on a timely, cost-effective basis while aligning with all aspects of customer satisfaction.

    + Technically proficient in the complete HYMH product line assigned, requiring extensive knowledge and experience.

    + Able to handle high volumes of Contact Management incidents, telephone calls, and stress related to complaints and requests for immediate assistance regarding service problems.

    + Well-organized to handle multiple projects and effectively utilize extensive volumes of technical documentation.

    + One who is willing and available to travel as needed, engaging directly with dealers and customers to professionally and efficiently resolve field-related issues.

    What You Will Need:

    Product Support Engineer I

    + BS degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent practical field or work experience, enhanced by a relevant experience in Lift truck mechanics and troubleshooting. On the job training

    Product Support Engineer II

    + BS Engineering preferred; ABET accredited

    + 1-2 years with degree; 7-9 years without degree

    Product Support Engineer III

    + BS in Engineering preferred; ABET accredited preferred

    + 3-5 years with degree; 8-10 years without degree

    Product Support Engineer IV

    + BS required; ABET accredited Engineering preferred.

    + 5-7 years with an engineering degree; 9-11 years without an engineering degree.

    Skills, Experience & Abilities:

    + Demonstrated practical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, mechanical construction, internal combustion engines, and electric motors as applied to products marketed by HYMH.

    + Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and welding procedures.

    + Working knowledge of lift truck applications related to stability, safety, and efficient operation.

    + Knowledge of departmental and corporate policies and procedures, as well as government and industry regulations concerning industrial trucks.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
