Quad is seeking Finishing Insert Operators to work at their Direct Marketing facility in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.

SUMMARY:

Responsible to operate all automated insertion equipment. Performs all production-related functions on the inserters. Responsible for quality of output and seeks to maximize the efficiency of all activities. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Operates Kern 2500 automated inserting equipment. Performs quality control checks (QC) on all processes/functions and seeks to optimize efficiencies. Directs, monitors, and works closely with colleagues as assigned.

+ Operates various computer applications associated with the Finishing Department. This includes but is not limited to IPW, File Based Verification (FBV), and process or job tracking applications.

+ Responsible for accurately recording production and quality activities on logs, QC checklists, forms, database applications, etc.

+ Ensures and promotes a safe and clean work environment. Immediately reports unsafe conditions and continuously seeks to improve housekeeping and the physical appearance of the facility.

+ Performs routine Preventative Maintenance and performs or assists with minor repairs.

+ Ensures product meets or exceeds client quality expectations. Promotes participates in, and supports the Quality Management System (ISO9001). Continuously seeks to improve processes and eliminate product and process non-conformances.

+ Seeks to improve efficiency and recommends process changes to Finishing Supervisor.

+ Seeks opportunity to improve skills and knowledge from coworkers. Participates in training and development activities and applies the skills learned on the job. Requests additional training when necessary.

+ Other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS (Specific knowledge, skills, education, and abilities):

+ High School Degree or equivalent preferred.

+ Experience working in a letter shop or mail environment preferred.

+ Personal Computer proficiency. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Strong Mechanical aptitude.

+ Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts, 7 am - 7 pm and 7 pm - 7 am.
