Hires for office tipstaff provide support to Court Administration and their internal and external customers by entering court-related data into relevant computer programs; copying and distributing court orders and notices; creating weekly tracking sheets and tracking cases, bench warrants, pleas, and summary appeals; and assisting with other administrative tasks, such as answering the phones, filing civil and criminal notices, completing transcription, processing jury summons, and distributing mail.

Hires for courtroom tipstaff contribute to the operations of the courtroom and judges' chambers by preparing the bench for court; checking on litigant transports; checking in litigants and attorneys for proceedings; ensuring microphones and recording systems are operational; screening witnesses and visitors for appropriate attire; opening court; swearing in witnesses; completing and distributing paperwork; assisting with jury selection and jury trials with the responsibility of monitoring activities of jurors; and communicating with all stakeholders involved in court events.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED; six months' experience in an office environment; strong customer service orientation; demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills; highly proficient interpersonal relations and communications skills; ability to work with all skills and backgrounds; and maturity to maintain confidential information.

Benefits
