    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    + Support an enterprise-wide initiative to enhance drilling, milling and countersinking processes through better drill bits, drills, and equipment.

    + Work with shop mechanics and fellow team members to gather and document the problem statement and engineering requirements.

    + Effectively communicates with team members, management, and customers.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    + Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience OR master’s degree with 3-6 years of experience.

    + Candidates without qualifying degree should have 9+ years of relevant experience.

    + Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

    Preferred Skills:

    + Works well in a collaborative team environment

    + Experience with aerospace manufacturing processes highly preferred

    + Experience with manual drills, power feed drills, drill bits, drill plate technology is highly preferred.

    + Experience with machining and fabrication technologies highly preferred.

    + Experience with Automated systems (CNC equipment, Robotics, etc).

    + Proficiency writing and editing technical documents such as specifications and test reports

    + Experience with CAD packages such as CATIA or Solidworks

    + Hands-on experience using and operating laboratory equipment (Power tools, 3D printers, Laser cutters, CNC routers)

    + Critical thinker willing to generate and test new ideas

    + Experience working in a research and development setting
