Summary

The **Director of Quality** provides technical support, manages quality control (QC) processes, ensures compliance with standards, oversees QC staffing, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the Mid-Atlantic Region and beyond. This role is key to maintaining Baker's high-quality standards and supporting project teams through proactive planning, audits, and training.

Roles and Responsibilities

The **Director of Quality** will perform the following duties in a safe, productive, and effective manner:

+ Provides preconstruction, operational and regional support

+ Manages regional QA/QC program standards

+ Manages QC startup process and QC inspector team

+ Performs monthly project audits and check -ins

+ Manages pour card process regionally

+ Manages/Works with project teams for QC-related situations

+ Performs quality-related training support

+ Develops best practices

+ Develops and update OPS report library

+ Participates in training and certifications

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or construction-related discipline and at least 15 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Strong technical knowledge of construction practices and quality management processes

+ Demonstrated experience managing quality control programs, audits, and technical troubleshooting

+ Experience in USACE, wastewater, industrial, and other specialty projects preferred

+ Knowledge of BIM processes and electronic pour card systems

+ Experience reading and understanding design drawings

+ Proficient in Microsoft Suite such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

+ PE license preferred
