Position Summary:
Bozeman Health, a leading community hospital, is seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber to join our Facilities Management team. As a Plumber at Bozeman Health, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the plumbing systems of our healthcare facility, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients and staff. This position requires a high level of expertise, technical skill, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Valid state plumbing license
+ Three (3) years of plumbing experience
Preferred
+ Completion of a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program
+ Background in healthcare facility plumbing systems
Essential Job Functions:
In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
+ Install and Maintain Plumbing Systems: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings, to ensure they meet regulatory and safety standards
+ Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, identify the root cause, and implement effective solutions promptly
+ Emergency Repairs: Respond to plumbing emergencies, such as leaks or blockages, and take immediate action to prevent damage and maintain patient care continuity
+ Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the Facilities Management team, contractors, and hospital staff to coordinate plumbing-related projects and maintenance activities
+ Compliance: Ensure all plumbing work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and follows hospital policies and procedures
+ Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems to identify potential issues and address them proactively
+ Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and equipment serviced for reporting and auditing purposes
+ Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and standards, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment, to ensure a safe working environment
+ Serve on committees: As assigned by Facility Director

Schedule Requirements
+ This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
+ The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
+ On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses.
