    Job Summary:

    Mission Children’s is seeking a Part-Time Pediatric Hospitalist to join our engaged and passionate group of providers.

    Position Overview:

    + This position is primarily a Pediatric Hospitalist with occasional newborn coverage

    + Current need is half-time (6-7 shifts 12-hours per month) including a blend of days and nights

    + Future opportunities to increase to 1.0 FTE are anticipated

    + Board certified / board eligible in pediatrics

    About Mission Children’s:

    Mission Children’s is the region’s only children’s hospital covering western North Carolina with 60 pediatric subspecialists in 23 different disciplines

     

    + 34 bed Mother Baby Unit

    + 19 bed Pediatric Unit

    + 9 Bed PICU staffed by our Pediatric Intensivist team

    + 51-bed, Level-III NICU staffed by our Neonatology team that also attends deliveries

    + Opportunity to work with MAHEC Family Medicine Residents and UNC Medical Students

    + Strong MFM program and new MFM Fellowship; good relationships with OBs and MAHEC OB/GYN Residency

    + An average of 3,000 patient admissions to our pediatric inpatient units

    + Approximately 4000 deliveries per year

    + Approximately 4,500 pediatric surgeries, and 14,000 pediatric visits to our emergency department per year

    + Dedicated infant transport team serving a 55-county area
