POSITION DETAILS
Hunter College is the largest of the senior colleges in the City University of New York with an enrollment of approximately 23,000, including nearly 5,200 graduate students. At multiple campus locations in NYC. Hunter offers a wide range of baccalaureate and master's degree programs in more than thirty academic departments and professional schools, and participates in the Ph.D. program of the City University of New York
The Vice President for Administration reports to the President and is responsible for the following operations: Plant Operations, Repairs and Maintenance; Instructional Computing and Information Technology; Public Safety and Security; Environmental Health and Safety; Facilities Management and Planning; and Capital Planning, Management and Construction.
CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Vice President for Administration is responsible for:
• Advancing the strategic direction and oversight of activities related to the College’s physical assets, construction and renovation projects, services, and campus plant operations, including utilities, grounds, maintenance, and custodial services.
• Leading and managing the college’s real estate planning, acquisitions and development, including managing all legal issues related thereto.
• Leveraging resources to address competing priorities while spearheading the mission of Facilities Management to maintain, construct, renew, and operate a clean, attractive, safe, accessible, and sustainable physical environment.
• Administering the College’s property and land assets, facilitating strategic planning, campus master planning, capital planning, facility design and construction, facility maintenance, capital construction project management, and continuous improvement of its facilities.
• Advancing the strategic direction and oversight of the Department of Instructional Computing and Information Technology to leverage existing and emerging technologies to enhance research, teaching and learning activities in service of institutional needs, goals and aspirations for a forward-thinking, learning-through-technology environment
• Overseeing the Public Safety Department and enforcing all established safety and security policies and procedures at the College.
• Directing the Department of Environmental Health and Safety to maintain compliance with occupational, laboratory, environmental, and other safety standards issued by agencies having regulatory jurisdiction over Hunter College.
• Leading over 350 dedicated staff who provide the College with security services, in-house facility repair, maintenance and renovation services, capital project construction management services, information technology services, and health and occupational safety services.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience.

Salary commensurate with education and experience within approved range (210,000 to 260,000).
