Job Description:

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree required

Work Experiences:

+ At least five years of related work experience required

+ 3 years of management experience preferred

+ Seven years of related work experience preferred

Responsibilities:

+ Building an assortment that achieves planned KPIs

+ Manages Open to Buy ensuring sales, margins, turns, and profitability are within plan

+ Analyzes vendor performance and independently negotiates all aspects of profitability including VAs, RTVs, off-price buys to maintain margin expectations

+ Gives direction on regular, promotional, and clearance pricing

+ Partners with planner on product flow and inventory management

+ Collaborates with Replenishment Analyst on inventory levels and distribution at total and store level

+ Collaborates with Omnichannel Merchandiser regularly on assortment, placement, promotions, and marketing

+ Oversees advertising for assigned categories, including item selection, layouts, and proofing

+ Analyzes ads and drives change to optimize ad performance

+ Conducts line reviews for assigned categories

+ Initiates and approves Plan-O-Grams

+ Recommends in-store merchandising opportunities

+ Provides leadership and direction to Suppliers and Sourcing on product development

+ Works with stores and distribution center to answer questions, and identifies and resolves issues

+ Searches for new suppliers, categories, and items

+ Shops competition to compare products, pricing, merchandising, etc.

+ Manages, mentors and develops team leading to career advancement

+ Required to learn company policies, procedures, and safety rules

+ Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Attendance

+ Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

+ Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior

+ Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary

+ Domestic travel is required
