STARTING RATE OF PAY IS $19 PER HOUR AND COULD INCREASE FROM THERE DEPENDENT UPON PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES YOU HOLD.

This is NOT an entry level position and requires at least 1 year of previous Landscape Porter, Property Porter or Municipal Porter experience as well as at least 1 full year of Landscaping & Snow Removal experience.

OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

• Valid Driver's License : Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license.

• Chauffeur’s Endorsement : A chauffeur’s endorsement or chauffeur’s license is Preferred.

• DDOT Medical card: preferred Candidate already holds one. If you do not have a DDOT Medical Card you MUST be able to pass a Medical exam that includes a drug Test (this is a Federal requirement).

Here’s what you’d do:

•The Porter will be responsible for executing site level tasks on BrightView’s client sites.

You’d be responsible for:

+ Keeping the premises of BrightView’s clients’ grounds in clean and orderly condition

+ Light landscaping

+ Transport trash and waste to disposal area

+ Demonstrate strong professionalism and integrity while representing BrightView

+ Assist maintenance team with snow removal (as applicable)

+ Physically walk the property on a frequent basis and remove litter

+ Clean and rake shrub areas; shovel mud when necessary

+ Use blower to keep sidewalks and walking areas clean of loose grass and brush Repair and replace windows, screens, sliding glass doors, etc

+ Driving to designated areas in vehicle and picking up trash with trash grabbers

+ Other Duties as assigned

+ At least 18 years old

+ May require a valid Driver’s License
