What will you be doing?

+ Determine setup requirements, operation sequence, and tolerance of finished parts by interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and instructions.

+ Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material to set guides for subsequent machining processes.

+ Machine bar stock to precise specifications.

+ Verify the conformance of finished parts to specifications using precision measuring tools.

+ Perform preventative maintenance on machinery as required.

+ Assist with additional duties as assigned, depending on workload and business needs.

What do you bring?

+ Proven mechanical aptitude.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Proficient in intermediate math and reading.

+ Practical experience with Okuma lathes, mills, and other industrial equipment used in machine shops.

+ Strong experience operating Okuma lathes is essential.

+ Ability to modify CNC programs.

+ Adequate motor skills to safely and efficiently operate tools and machinery.

+ Ability to stand and/or walk for the majority of the scheduled shift, typically 8-10 hours per day, with the possibility of overtime as needed.
