Position Title: Summer Camp Specialist Position Status : Hourly, non-exempt 8 weeks

The Frances Xavier Warde School is a Catholic elementary school in downtown Chicago that provides an excellent academic, values-oriented education to students of all ethnic, religious, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds in a child-centered urban environment. Job Summary/Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking to hire several Summer Camp Specialists at our Day Camp based in downtown Chicago. Set up as a traditional Day Camp, in a premier independent school facility, we offer a full day of exciting activities! The Specialist positions we are looking to fill are:

Cooking

Dance

Drama-Theatre-Improv Games

Cheer

If you love working with kids ages 4 through 13, and enjoy creating fun engaging activities, this is the summer job for you!

Our camp starts on Monday, June 16, 2025, and ends Friday, August 1st, 2025. The hours of the Camp are 8:30am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Camp is closed on Monday, June 19th and Thursday July 3rd and Friday, July 4th.

There will be mandatory staff training held before the beginning of camp, the week of June 9th-June 13th.

Preferred Qualifications

+ We need reliable, hardworking, and fun personalities.

+ Must be 21 years of age or older and be available for all 7 weeks to be considered.

+ For the summer of 2025, all camp counselors who are eligible to receive the vaccine, need to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 before beginning.

+ Background working with school-based auxiliary programs or summer camps

+ Have more than 2 years of experience in specific area applying for

+ A valid First Aid and CPR Certification issued by an authorized agency is welcomed

+ Compensation varies based on experience.
