    Senior Construction Materials Technician – Corpus Christi, Texas

    What are we looking for?

     

    The Senior Construction Materials Technician is responsible for performing a variety of testing, (example: soil, concrete, etc.) project-specific observation, inspection duties and provide assessment data under general supervision.

    What you’ll do:

    + Utilize, read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and diagrams

    + Use specific methods to observe site activities, perform tasks and give the interpretation of results

    + Attend project meetings alone, without supervision, and communicate effectively with client and project teams

    Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

    + Must possess the following certifications:

    + ACI: Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1;

    + ICC: Soils, Concrete, Masonry, Commercial Building Inspector, Reinforced Steel

    + Asphalt Level 1B Roadway Specialist

    + Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record

    + Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed

    + Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.

    + Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound.

    + Ability to kneel and squat occasionally

    + Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time

    + Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)

    + Ability to climb occasionally

    Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + NICET II (geotechnical or construction, or construction material testing or soils);
