The role you’ll contribute:

The Pharmacy Technician, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs delegated duties, tasks and functions associated with the provision of pharmacy services within the hospital.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

+ Assists the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing medication.

+ Prepares sterile products such as IV solutions, piggyback containers, and cytotoxic drugs, irrigations, TPN's, epidurals, prefilled syringes, reconstituting of medications under aseptic conditions.

+ Accurately refills Pyxis Medstations; accurately conducts inventory of Pyxis Medstation and accurately loads and unloads medications.

+ Maintains pharmacy inventory, including checking for expiration dates, rotation of stock, and proper handling of medications.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

+ High school diploma

+ Current Florida license as a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern.

+ Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification (CPhT) within 6 months of hire
