    EJ has an immediate opening for a 2025 Summer Safety Intern.

    SUMMARY

    The Safety Intern will work at our new East Jordan Foundry located in Elmira, Michigan. This facility began production in November of 2018 and provides multiple opportunities for a student to receive hands-on problem-solving and engagement in the operations of a state-of-the art and technically driven iron foundry. The intern will participate on our engineering and quality teams on major projects.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    + Develop and preform Job Hazard Analyses.

    + Develop method to verify effectiveness of completed action plans.

    + Develop safety investigation teams and procedures.

    + Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

     

    Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field from a four-year college or university.
