Our client in consumer packaged goods manufacturing is seeking a **Lab Technician** to join their team. The ideal candidate will have team playing, lab skills and trainability which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Technician

Pay Range: $21.50 - $23 hourly

Contract: Long term/conversion to permanent possible

Shift: M - F: 8a - 4:30p (flexible on start time up to 9am)

Overtime Weekend Hours available but NOT required (paid time and a half)

Job Duties:

+ Collect, prepare, and analyze routine quantitative samples of raw materials, finished products and premixes.

+ Perform chemical quality control tests of vitamins and other nutrients following established methods and utilizing accepted laboratory techniques.

+ Operate laboratory instruments.

+ Perform duties required in the routine maintenance of a safe and appropriate laboratory environment which is compliant with company and regulatory standards.

+ Maintain current, complete, legible notebooks and laboratory records in compliance with good scientific and regulatory practices.

What we're looking for:

+ Bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, etc.) **- OR -** Equivalent Lab experience and skills will also be considered.

+ Demonstrates ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

+ Experience using Microsoft based computer applications a must.

+ Familiarity with ion chromatography, ICP, mass spectrometry detection and laboratory information management computer systems a plus but not required.
