Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

+ Define parts, modules, and assemblies using 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and electronic data formats for analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.

+ Apply best practices and integrate expertise with other areas, while understanding market competition and differentiation.

+ Use judgment and analytical thinking to develop solutions for complex manufacturing processes involving technical variety or interdependent production cycles.

+ Interpret customer specifications and office standards for design applications.

+ Understand mechanical electrical schematics related to electrical enclosure design.

+ Create arrangements for automated industrial systems using AutoCAD 2015 and CREO 2.0, including electrical enclosure layouts, electrical boxes, and panel designs.

+ Design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques, incorporating ASME Y14.5 standards.

+ Select standard components and hardware for designs.

+ Prepare bills of material to provide a complete manufacturing package alongside schematics and layouts.

+ Maintain manufacturing documentation and information.

+ Work as an individual contributor or early-stage team leader with interpersonal skills to hire and develop talent.

+ Offer informal guidance to new team members.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience).

+ Minimum of 3 years of extensive experience in mechanical- electrical hardware design for low to medium voltage systems.

+ Advanced proficiency in CREO 2.0 or similar software

+ Ability to travel up to 10%

Desired Characteristics

+ Advanced proficiency in CREO 2.0 or comparable design software.

+ In-depth knowledge of NEC, IEC, and UL industry standards and regulations.

+ Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and best practices.

+ Proven problem-solving, analytical, and organizational capabilities.

+ Extensive experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and automation systems.

+ Expertise in power electronics, including design and implementation.

+ Solid background in industrial control systems and their applications.

+ Comprehensive experience in panel design and layout.
