    SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.

    Responsibilities

    + Analyze high-cost medication orders and identify areas where cost saving can be achieved through drug interchange while ensuring patient safety.

    + Make recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff when necessary.

    + Perform medication review to ensure appropriate use and identify cost saving interventions.

    + Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions and proper administration.

    + Efficiently communicating with Nursing homes and physicians via, phone, fax and email for therapeutic interchange recommendations, and high-cost orders clarifications.

    + Clinical skills needed: medical history, therapies and laboratory data, etc.

    + Utilize Microsoft Excel to run hourly reports for dispensed high-cost medication and keep track of potential savings.

    + Having a desire to get more knowledge about different pharmacy aspects.

    + Complete any other task assigned by the Cost Containment

    Qualifications

    + Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida

    + Long Term Care experience preferred

    + Previous experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields

    + Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Strong attention to detail

    + Strong organizational skills

    + Microsoft Excel knowledge skills

    + Framework / ECM software knowledge a plus

    Shift:

    + 9:00am - 5:00pm EST
