• Weekend Executive Producer

    KRON4, the Bay Area's local news station, is looking for a Weekend Executive Producer. This position oversees KRON4's weekend evening newscasts. During the week this position will produce nightside or fill-in as EP. We're looking for a hands-on, creative EP, who can not only lead but produce and edit as well. The Executive Producer will work out of our San Francisco studio on the Embarcadero.

     

    This will be a regular, full-time management, non-union, exempt position.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Oversee KRON4 Weekend Evening News

    + Make coverage decisions on breaking news and reporter assignments

    + Plan weekend coverage and streaming coverage

    + Approve scripts, video and graphics

    + Line produce on weekdays

    + Edit video for stories and teases using desktop editing system

    + Communicate with other producers, assignment editors, directors

    + Communicate clearly with control room staff and anchors

    + Work with other EP's to identify and execute broadcast/streaming cross promotion opportunities

    + Contribute to streaming content on KRON4+

    + Management reserves the discretion to add or modify job duties as required

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + 3 – 5 years of experience producing compelling newscasts in a medium to major market

    + College degree or equivalent in journalism/communications or broadcasting preferred

    + Must be a self-starter, hard worker, have a great attitude, and be versatile and efficient

     

    Compensation: $90,000+ commensurate with experience and skill level
