    The Hand Solder role is unique for individuals who like to use precision hand tools and soldering components like surface mount and thru-hole.

    Job Summary & Essential Functions:

    Build through-hole (THT) and surface mount (SMT) printed circuit board assemblies, placing components on boards per controlled parts lists, drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.

     

    + Assemble electrical or electromechanical devices or components using a variety of hardware/tools.

    + Pull up documentation required to preform work on customer assemblies

    + Basic hand soldering of surface mount, through-hole components and simple wiring

    + Perform basic touch ups

    + Operate a variety of equipment as needed to fulfill customer requirements

    + Familiar with soldering iron tips and chemicals

    + Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standard and class

    + Responsible for the proper handling of product and components

    + Perform work with minimal supervision and instruction

    + Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.

    + Maintain necessary records

    + Perform other assignments as required

     

    Skills & Qualifications

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    + J-STD-001 certified

    + Basic soldering skills

    + Intermediate level computer skills

    + Ability to read and understand engineering assembly drawings

    + Ability to read and follow assembly instructions

    + Ability to build electrical and electromechanical assemblies

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity

    + Ability to use tools

    + High level of attention to detail and accuracy
