Description We are seeking a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director to join our team in the transportation industry based in Norfolk, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including the processing of multi-state and multi-cycle payroll, maintaining and auditing tax accounts, and providing guidance to the payroll team.
Responsibilities:
• Process customer credit applications for multi-state, multi-cycle payrolls accurately and efficiently.
• Keep records of voluntary deductions and involuntary deductions, documenting and updating procedures as necessary.
• Manage tax accounts, handling new registrations, tax rate changes, and POA filing.
• Organize the workflow of payroll reports required for auditing all pay groups.
• Aid in the review and auditing of employee tax setup, coordinating with payroll processor to correct historical records if applicable.
• Manage and audit wage attachment withholdings and respond to agencies.
• Address payroll-related inquiries from associates and managers in a timely and detail oriented manner.
• Assist with HRIS and Payroll system maintenance and configuration.
• Provide workflow management and guidance to the payroll team.
• Prepare special reports for Finance and Management, and assist with year-end activities such as W2 reporting, tax reconciliation, and processing/posting additional annual compensation. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director role within the Transport industry
• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services
• Demonstrated skills in using ADP Workforce Now
• Knowledge and understanding of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Experience with Ceridian
• Ability to use Crystal Reports
• Expertise in 401k - RRSP Administration
• Familiarity with About Time software
• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Auditing
• Proven ability to handle Benefit Functions
