Description
We are seeking a VP/Director of Finance to join our team in Pennsylvania with Higher Education, Government or Public Accounting industry experience. You will be leading the business office operations, supervising multiple departments, and managing our financial budget and planning.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the business office operations, including banking, purchasing, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
• Administer and manage the organization's financial budget and planning.
• Conduct long and short-range financial analysis, planning, and forecasting of organization's programs, cost, and projects.
• Oversee the coordination of local, state, and federal funds related to the operation of the organization, including grant funding.
• Handle the cash forecasting and management of the organization.
• Oversee all audit requests and reconciliations and lead all external audits.
• Monitor and resolve all insurance issues and claims.
• Manage relationships with insurance brokers, and bankers.
• Prepare quarterly report to the sub-committees of the Board for the Finance, Investment and Audit committees.
• Supervise multiple departments such as Business Office, Director of Financial Aid, Director of IT, Facilities Plant, Cafeteria Services, Mail Service, and Insurance Services.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information in a detail oriented manner at all times.
Requirements • Must possess 10+ years of experience in the finance sector, preferably in a leadership role
• Proficient in handling all accounting functions
• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in preparing and managing the annual budget
• Strong knowledge of auditing techniques and principles
• Familiarity with budget processes and financial forecasting
• Proficient in handling Tax - Form 990 and Form 5500
• Experience in overseeing and managing 403B Plans
• Must hold a current CPA license
• CPA Designation is highly preferred
• Proficiency in using Blackbaud software for financial management
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling
