Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide direct clinical care to patients in our region who are medically complex

+ Engage in teaching of trainees when needed

+ Participate in Provider of the Day rotation

+ Participate in the on-call rotation

+ As a 0.8cFTE, this position is expected to have 6, four-hour clinical sessions/week

+ Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.

Assistant Professor - 36421 Faculty

This is an Assistant Professor level position, involving clinical work in an outpatient setting which can include teaching responsibilities for clinical trainees. This position primarily works daytime hours, Monday-Friday. Patient documentation will be completed during administrative time. The Special Care Clinic (SCC) serves as a medical home and consultative base for over 5,000 children in our region who are medically complex. This position will serve as a primary care provider for these patients. They will be responsible for managing their well visits, follow up visits, care coordination, chronic illness management, and treatment of minor and acute illness.
