    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    The Associate Pharmacy Informaticist coordinates pharmacy change management, develops education/training materials for new standards, applications and enhancements, manages validation of system upgrades' impact on applications and workflows, and supports software releases and best practices related to their specialty area(s). This individual participates in the company-wide community in their specialty area(s), supports community growth within the company by establishing and growing strong relationships with clinical, informatics, and operational stakeholders throughout the enterprise.

     

    The Associate Pharmacy Informaticist serves as a resource on the Clinical Pharmacy Informatics team for the development, implementation, and support for clinical applications and complex EHR tools across the enterprise.

     

    The ideal candidate will have experience with pharmacy and medication management operational workflows in a hospital setting. Up to 25% travel required.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    •Works with the Clinical Pharmacy Informatics team as well as the EHR Support Specialist Team, and subject matter experts to identify and promote the execution of company, team, and personal professional goals

    •Coordinates the implementation of standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities in the specialty area(s)

    •Develops, facilitates, and supports tools and resources focused on clinical initiatives

    •Works with enterprise subject matter experts, EHR Support Analysts, and Division EHR Specialist Teams to provide support for module updates and clinical applications within their specialty area(s)

    •Provides user support and coordinates with teams responsible for system maintenance related to clinical applications for all care settings

    •Conducts problem analysis and coordinates timely and accurate resolution for complex issues and requests escalated from the Service Desk or other corporate, division or facility stakeholders regarding clinical applications within their specialty area(s)

    •Works with Education Specialists to support the development of, and review of education/training materials

    •Provides informatics support for other teams with automated dispensing machines policies, in regard to workflow analysis and decision making

    •Participates in root cause analysis as trends and issues in specialty area(s) are identified

    •Supports and coordinates with teams responsible for testing clinical applications and assists in interpretation of test plans and in troubleshooting

    •Provides training to division EHR Support specialists and facility EHR Support Analysts, Senior EHR Support Analysts and super users (train the trainer) on clinical applications, as needed

    •Works with the Corporate, Division, and Facility Support Teams to define clinical application reporting standards and works with facilities to implement the standards

    •Develops business requirements documents and coordinates the design, development, testing, education and implementation with ITG. Actively supports and promotes systems standardization, utilization, and best practices

    •Identifies and aggregates appropriate data needed to review issues, analyze data and coordinate fixes

    •Identifies, evaluates, designs, and packages best practices, policies and procedures for clinical application

    •implementation and use

    •Works with others on implementation of standards, best practices, policies, procedures, and utilization plans

    •Works to support enterprise formulary adherence by coordinating with HealthTrust Pharmacy or Service Line/Corporate Teams

    •Builds the division community in clinical application specialty area(s) by establishing and growing strong relationships with all appropriate stakeholders

    •Participates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned

    •Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statements

    •Take CALL as assigned

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    •Bachelor’s degree preferred

    •CPhT or Informatics Certification preferred
