    Position Description

    The College of Health Professions seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in the Department of Respiratory Care. For information about the department visit theDepartment of Respiratory Care website (https://www.health.txst.edu/rc.html) .

     

    Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school/program need. Successful candidates may teach at the Round Rock campuses, in hospitals and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.

     

    This posting is for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2024/2025 semesters. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.

    Required Qualifications

    Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Previous teaching experience is preferred.
