Job Summary: Brightstar Care of Wilmington and Brunswick County is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a CNA/PCA/HHA for our Home Care department. This is a part-time to full-time hourly position for cases located throughout New Hanover and Brunswick Counties. As a Home Care team member, you will be responsible for assisting clients in achieving their daily living activities and providing a safe and comfortable environment for them. You will work under the supervision of our Registered Nurse and work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide the best care possible for our clients. Compensation & Benefits: This is a part-time position with a competitive hourly pay rate of $13 to $18, paid weekly. We also offer a flexible schedule that can accommodate your availability. As a Brightstar Care team member, you will also be eligible for a variety of benefits, including: - Insurance options - Continuing education opportunities - Employee referral & performance bonuses - Recognition programs Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living as outlined in the care plan - Follow and document care plans accurately and timely - Report any changes in client’s condition or needs to the Registered Nurse - Assist with medication reminders and administration, as directed by the Registered Nurse - Help clients with mobility, transferring, and positioning - Provide emotional support and companionship to clients - Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients in accordance with infection control and OSHA regulations - Communicate effectively and courteously with clients, their families, and your team members - Attend required in-service training sessions to maintain skills and qualifications - Ensure all necessary paperwork is filled out accurately and timely, including care notes, time sheets, and mileage reports Requirements: - For CNAs, a valid listing on the NC Nurse Aide registry - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home care or similar setting - CPR certification - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Compassionate, caring, and dependable EEOC statement: Brightstar Care of Wilmington and Brunswick County is an equal opportunity employer.
