    Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Analytical Engineer specializing in Time Domain Analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performing complex calculations related to Insulation Coordination, Transient Over-Voltage, and Power Quality & Harmonics. Additionally, the candidate should possess extensive software proficiency in PSCAD and EMTP-RV.

    Responsibilities:

    + Conduct detailed electrical analysis utilizing time domain techniques to evaluate system performance and identify potential issues.

    + Perform complex calculations related to Insulation Coordination, Transient Over-Voltage, and Power Quality & Harmonics.

    + Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize system performance and mitigate risks.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise and support in electrical analysis and troubleshooting.

    + Prepare comprehensive reports documenting analysis findings, recommendations, and design modifications.

    + Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies relevant to time domain analysis.

     

    This position allows for a flexible hybrid schedule with a mix of in-office days and working remotely.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    + A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (background in Power/Power Systems) and sufficient industry experience is considered in lieu of an advanced degree. Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

    + 12 years of experience in Insulations Coordination, Transient Over-Voltage, and Power Quality & Harmonics.

    + Proficiency in utilizing software tools such as PSCAD and EMTP-RV to perform complex electrical calculations.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

    + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

    + Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.

    + Experience in the power utility or energy industry is highly desirable.

    + Professional certifications related to electrical analysis and time domain techniques are a plus.
