    Description

    SUMMARY

    Coordinate, implement, maintain, and recommend continuous improvements on the production scheduling process and function at Ashton Potter. Coordinate and help maintain inventory cycle and full count inventory processes and recommend continuous improvements for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy.

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Creates, maintains, and updates production schedule.

    + Reviews and updates issues in the production process and suggests improvements.

    + Ensures production schedule and deadlines are met.

    + Adjusts and corrects the schedule to meet requirements.

    + Prepares and presents production reports.

    + identifies orders that are in process and if on track or behind. If behind determine reason and initiate actions to get order back on track and report Plant Manager for possible re-scheduling the next jobs.

    + Key participant in annual physical inventory audits.

    + Ensures all documentation related to inventory flows properly.

    + Performs cycle counting duties.

    + Prepares inventory accuracy reports.

    + Identifies and resolves inventory issues.

    + Research and develop ways to improve inventory system.

    + Manage projects as assigned by management.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + 2 years’ experience in the field of Production Control, Manufacturing, Materials or related area. Spoken and written English is preferred.

    + Computer Skills - MS Office Products and ERP system use

     

    EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE

     

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

    + 2 years’ experience in the field of Production Control, Manufacturing, Materials or related area.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Must be able to physically move freely and work both at a computer and throughout the office and plant operations in a safe and unencumbered manner.

     

    + The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 20 pounds.

    + Must be capable of working normal working hours on site with occasional overtime requirements.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    + Must be capable of working normal working hours on site with occasional overtime requirements.
