Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Machinist to join our Hopkinton, MA Flight Systems Group. We are a world-class manufacturer of Passive Microwave Components for military aircraft and launch vehicles. Our work is mission critical and directly contributes to national security.

Some Responsibilities include the following:

+ Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

+ Install and adjust cutting tools consistent with type and size of material being machined.

Basic Qualifications:

+ High School diploma or equivalent/GED and 2+ years of relevant work or related education

+ 1+ years of experience setting up and operating Proto TRAK Control

+ Set up and run Southwestern DPM Bed/Knee Mills with Proto TRAK controls.

+ Operate hand and power tools to deburr precision and complex machine parts in accordance with semi-complicated engineering blueprints and route sheets to close tolerances.

+ US Citizenship

+ Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds and stand for 4 hours at a time

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Associates Degree or Trade School certification

+ Silver torch brazing experience

+ Experience with machining copper

+ Southwestern milling machines

Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $83,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
