    Description

    We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join our team based in Salinas, California. The primary function of this role is to oversee various accounting activities, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting systems, policies, and procedures. The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting accounting data for management reports and decision-making purposes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and manage accounting staff, focusing on their training needs and daily performance.

    • Ensure cross-training of all accounting department staff to cover absences due to vacations or sick leave.

    • Oversee employees performing accounting duties, including evaluations, training, and recommendations.

    • Monitor daily accounting processes and regular periodic reporting to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, GAAP, and organizational fiscal policies and procedures.

    • Participate in the monthly close of the general ledger, preparation of all required monthly financial statements, and analyze variances.

    • Oversee the reconciliation of all bank account statements.

    • Generate reports, compile information, and analyze administrative and staff allocations.

    • Analyze and research large budget variances.

    • Assist with annual budget and audit preparations.

    • Assist the CFO and perform miscellaneous projects as assigned.

    • Maintain compliance with HIPPA and Nonprofit General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

    Requirements

    • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

    • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is needed

    • Understanding of all Accounting Functions is crucial

    • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is required

    • Ability to handle Accounts Receivable (AR) is important

    • Experience in Auditing is a must-have

    • Knowledge of Billing Functions is required
