**Position:** Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant

**Location:** 1705 Warren Avenue

**Schedule:** Days/Early Evenings, Monday through Friday

Are you a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant looking to make a difference in an outpatient facility? UPMC Rehabilitation Institute – Costello Center is seeking a passionate and skilled PTA to join our dynamic team. If you have previous experience in an outpatient setting, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

+ **Provide Exceptional Care:** Deliver physical therapy treatments in accordance with the plan of care established by the physical therapist. Recommend changes based on patient condition and response to treatment.

+ **Maintain Order:** Keep work areas neat and orderly, and direct therapy volunteers.

+ **Clerical Duties:** Perform necessary clerical responsibilities as required by the facility.

+ **Patient Transport:** Safely and professionally transport patients using prescribed transport vehicles.

+ **Clinical Excellence:** Implement treatment programs that reflect current scientific and clinical knowledge to achieve established outcomes/goals.

Qualifications:

+ Previous PTA experience in an outpatient facility is preferred.

+ Strong clinical skills and ability to implement treatment programs effectively.

+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association with an associates degree as a physical therapist assistant.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

+ Physical Therapist Assistant OR Physical Therapist Assistant Indirect Supervision

+ Act 33 with renewal

+ Act 34 with renewal

+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
