What you will do:
Under minimal supervision, the Research Associate liaisons with sponsors of research, physicians, and patients, coordinating the investigator and study participant through the activities of research. Must facilitate ethical recruitment process, maintaining communication between investigator, physician, and patient. Must engage in an ethical informed consent process with transparency. Responsible for authoring of templates and tools designed to capture data points being collected by the study project. Responsible for timely and accurate data entry, as well as timely and accurate resolution of data queries as well as study sponsor inquiries. Maintains and submits all regulatory files in accordance with the protocol and all applicable regulations. Serves as a resource for federal and local regulations regarding the conduct of research. The Research Associate is an in-house advocate for research by initiating regular, meaningful internal communications informing clinic providers and staff of current activities and initiatives. All activities are conducted in accordance with all federal and local regulations, good clinical practice guidelines, in concordance with health system policy.
Candidates must be either 1. Clinically experienced in the primary medical specialty of the site of research, or 2. have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as the primary study coordinator in another medical specialty. The ideal candidate would be experienced in both the medical specialty and with coordinating clinical trials. Clinical skills include: phlebotomy, lab sample preparation, and the ability to obtain an ECG. Must be proficient with MS Office product suite.
Supervised fieldwork provides skills application in protocol and CRF design, subject recruitment, regulatory compliance, accountability for drugs and devices, and auditing documentation in clinical research studies. The role provides novel experience and can be a gateway to the competitive, niche, and thriving industry of clinical research.

Pay Range: $23.40-$31.23
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
