Our client, a leading technology firm, is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join their team. As a Systems Engineer II, you will be part of the Infrastructure Operations supporting the technical innovation and efficiency of the fulfillment center organization. The ideal candidate will have strong problem analysis skills, superb troubleshooting abilities, and a relentless passion for engineering, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Location:** Austin, TX

**Pay Range:** $49/Hour on Experis W2

*Not open to C2C

What's the Job?

+ Understand how commodity servers, operating systems, and networks function, perform, and scale.

+ Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via automation.

+ Create processes that enhance operational workflow and provide positive customer impact.

+ Dive deep to resolve problems at their root, looking for failure patterns amenable to long-term solutions.

+ Recognize and adopt best practices in documentation, testing, security, and operational support at scale.

What's Needed?

+ In-depth knowledge of & experience deploying and operating Linux or other UNIX variants in a datacenter environment.

+ Strong system troubleshooting skills.

+ Proficiency in automation via Perl/Python programming and shell scripting.

+ Good understanding of standard internet protocols (Ethernet, ARP, IP, ICMP, UDP, TCP, SSL, DNS, HTTP, etc.).

+ Experience in building SQL queries.
