    Description

    We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in KAMUELA, Hawaii. This role is vital to manage and maintain the financial integrity of our grant-related projects. The Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with funding agreements, preparing accurate financial reports, and tracking expenditures to stay aligned with grant budgets.     Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with funding agreements

    • Prepare and present accurate financial reports

    • Track expenditures to align with grant budgets

    • Reconcile accounts regularly

    • Analyze financial data for accuracy and relevance

    • Liaise with program and finance teams to support grant-funded initiatives

    • Utilize accounting software to streamline processes

    • Knowledge of federal grant regulations is beneficial

    • Manage accounts payable and receivable

    • Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and journal entries

    • Assist with month-end close processes

    • Proficiency in NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is beneficial.

    Requirements • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role as a Staff Accountant

    • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

    • Experience with Bank Reconciliations

    • Knowledge of General Ledger management

    • Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries

    • Experience in conducting Month End Close

    • Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software

    • Familiarity with Oracle financial software

    • Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks

    • Knowledge of SAP financial software
