    This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other duties as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Collaboration Agreement and/or other similar documentation as appropriate.

    About this role: 

     

    As a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.

    + Management of critically ill and premature infants in the NICU with complex health issues including resuscitation, assessment, diagnosis, medication management, ventilation management, treatment, and timely documentation. Daily rounding with the interdisciplinary medical team.

    + Ordering and performing medical tests and procedures specific to the NICU population.

    + Consultation and coordination with other pediatric healthcare providers.

    + Educating and supporting parents, guardians, APP students, and staff in the care of NICU patients.

    + Continual participation in weekly learning opportunities and developing for optimal NICU patient care and outcomes

    What** **you’ll** **bring: 

    + An active Physician Assistant, PA, or Nurse Practitioner, NP, License by the MT State Board.

    + Prescriptive Authority by the MT state board of Nursing or Medical Examiners and DEA License.

    + Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.

    + Certification in Neonatology.

    + ACLS Certification within 6 months of employment (site specific).

    + Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

    + Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Expectedtoliftandutilizefullrangeofmovementtotransferpatients.Willalsobendtoretrieve,lift,andcarrysuppliesandequipment.Typicallyincludesitemsofvaryingweights,uptoandincludingheavyitems.

    + Needtowalkandassistwithtransporting/ambulatingpatientsandobtaininganddistributingsuppliesandequipment.Thisincludespushing/pullinggurneysandportableequipment,includingheavyitems.Oftenrequiredtonavigatecrowdedandbusyrooms(fullofequipment,powercordsonthefloor,etc.).

    + Maybeexpectedtostandinastationarypositionforanextendedperiod.

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

     

    $60.33 - $93.08
