Description
We are offering a long-term contract opportunity for a Project Coordinator in Martinez, California. As a Project Coordinator, you will be expected to be well-versed in the principles and practices of public administration, budget analysis, and procurement, as well as have the ability to gather and analyze data, interpret rules and regulations, and establish effective working relationships. This role will require 3 days onsite.
Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate and support program activities, ensuring timely execution of deliverables and maintaining accurate documentation.
+ Track and manage participant information and key program data elements across multiple initiatives.
+ Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external contractors, and community service providers.
+ Assist in the collection, tabulation, and analysis of program data; generate reports and data summaries.
+ Support preparation and submission of recurring reports in Excel, ensuring accuracy and alignment with program requirements.
+ Maintain and update shared documentation using Microsoft SharePoint and other collaborative tools.
+ Prepare clear, concise written communications, reports, and presentations.
+ Respond to information requests from staff, stakeholders, or community partners.
+ Assist with internal administrative tasks including budget tracking, procurement support, and manual updates.
Requirements
+ Proven experience in a project coordination, program support, or administrative support role.
+ Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable working in SharePoint.
+ Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data and program information.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience working in or with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, or populations served by public programs is a plus.
+ Understanding of public sector processes, including eligibility and compliance, is desirable but not required.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ 5+ years of relevant professional experience preferred.
