    Job Description:

    A Postdoctoral Associate position is available in stars, including, e.g., stellar physics, stellar evolution, stellar characterization, stellar populations, or similar, to work with Dr. Jamie Tayar in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Florida to begin in Fall 2025. Applicants are encouraged to include plans on how they will benefit from and utilize some of the group, department, and university resources, including membership in the SDSS-V and ASAS-SN collaborations, HiPerGator supercomputer, and/or UF telescope access. The ability to connect with other researchers in the department will also be considered positively.

     

    The applicant must have completed a PhD in astronomy, physics, or a related field by the appointment date. This position will be initially awarded for one year, and, contingent upon conduct and strong performance, may be renewed for up to two additional years (three years total).

    Expected Salary:
