    Summary:

    UNC Hospitals Rehabilitation Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated **Physical Therapist** to join our multidisciplinary team at the **Center for Rehabilitation Care** in **Chapel Hill, NC** . This full-time position will focus on providing high-quality care for patients with pelvic health conditions and lymphedema across both pediatric and adult populations. Our clinic prioritizes **60-minute, one-on-one treatment sessions** to ensure personalized, patient-centered care, which allows for optimal outcomes and strong therapeutic relationships.

     

    The ideal candidate has an interest in both pediatric and adult pelvic health and lymphedema rehabilitation. While **pediatric experience is preferred** , it is **not required** , and we will provide **additional training** to build the necessary skills. We also offer **mentorship opportunities** to help you grow professionally in this specialized field.

     

    If you do not already have certifications in **pelvic health** or **lymphedema therapy** , **UNC will cover the costs for certification training** to help you develop these skills and certifications. This investment in your education will help you to advance your expertise and provide the best possible care to our patients.

     

    Additionally, this position provides the opportunity to engage in **ongoing professional development** , with the possibility of participating in our **women's health residency program** .

    Core Responsibilities:

    1. **Patient Care:** Conduct **evidence-based evaluations** and provide comprehensive treatments for pelvic health and lymphedema conditions in both pediatric and adult populations.

    2. **Diagnostic Testing:** Perform **diagnostic tests** as needed to assess patient conditions and inform treatment plans.

    3. **Mentorship & Education:** Provide supervision and education to **graduate Physical Therapy students** and clinical fellows/residents, contributing to the development of innovative care programs.

    4. **Clinical Evaluation:** Regularly assess diagnostic and therapeutic test results to modify treatment plans as needed, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients. Facilitate communication among interdisciplinary teams for continuity of care.

    5. **Community Involvement:** Serve as a clinical resource and participate in outreach initiatives that focus on underserved populations. Engage with community programs such as our **food bank** and advocacy committees to promote health and wellness.

    6. **Professional Participation:** Actively contribute to departmental meetings and training sessions, supporting the quality and consistency of clinical care within the department.

    7. **Quality Improvement:** Maintain detailed patient records and participate in **quality improvement initiatives** aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.
