Position Summary/Description:

The Physician Assistant program at the UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine,

Department of Health Sciences, is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant to join our academic program. This fixed-term, open-rank position is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, engaged PA to become a part of our accredited academic program.

The position is a 12-month, full-time Assistant/Associate Professor of PA Studies and serves as Principal Faculty position in its Department of Health Sciences, Physician Assistant Studies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Didactic instructional preparation including engaging classroom instruction, varied assessment, ongoing curriculum evaluation and modification, student progress monitoring, and student advising.

* Assisting with the admissions process as well as the design and implementation of student orientation.

* Engage in recruitment and retention initiatives, ongoing accreditation compliance, general program support, and service to the profession.

* Clinical practice 1-2 days a week.

* Applicants with experience in ongoing programmatic evaluation and accreditation are encouraged to apply. This position offers the possibility of serving as the Director for Evaluation and Accreditation, based on applicant experience.
