Position Summary: Seeking candidate that can work with our engineering and operations teams to create an efficient and cost-effective manufacturing process. This will include defining process instructions as well as supporting our CNC programmers to create an efficient programming process. They will be working with 5-axis mill-turn, horizontal and vertical lathes, and cylindrical grinding machines.
Essential Functions:
+ Support Manufacturing
+ Devise efficient manufacturing process with fail safe in-process inspection methods and document all processes with work instructions that abide by Ward Leonard standards.
+ Design fixtures for new/existing parts and define manufacturing process of fixtures.
+ Work with CNC manufacturing team on new part process planning.
+ Maximizing machine uptime, efficiency, and quality to exceed goal of 90% OEE. Collect data with machine monitoring software and develop software to collect data and create KPI’s for continuous improvement.
+ Able to understand CNC programming on Fanuc, OSP and Siemens controls.
+ Verify CNC program using simulation software.
+ Use SolidWorks to create Operation level prints.
+ Update engineering master in Visual ERP.
+ Ability to read blueprints/drawings with ASME Y14.5 GD&T
+ Troubleshoot and contribute to the resolution of any manufacturing issues at component or assembly level.
+ Support the Engineering Change process by reviewing drawings for manufacture.
+ Work with the Quality and Design team with NCM disposition and resolution.
+ Supporting function for other operation teams as needed to support process improvement and overall success.

Education / Skills:
+ Must be U.S. Citizen due to our government contracts
+ High School Degree
+ Experience with inspection and metrology tools including micrometers, calipers, optical comparators
+ Expert user of CAD and 3D Modeling software – Solidworks experience required
+ Bachelor’s in engineering is preferred
+ Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
+ Lean Experience
+ Experience with programming of 5 Axis Machining Centers, Horizontal and Vertical Lathes, and Cylindrical Grinding using CAM software preferred.
+ 5-axis milling, turning and grinding experience preferred
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
+ Job requires long periods of sitting. Since overhead cranes are available in all work areas, Technicians are not required to lift more than 50 pounds.
+ Keeps work area clean and free of scrap materials.
+ Wears and complies with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) applicable to work area, including but not limited to eye protection and safety shoes.
+ Follows all safety rules applicable to machine as stated on posted signs and in Company policy.
