    Position Summary

    The Production Planner schedules, plans, and prioritizes orders for internal and external customer deliverables.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities

    + Managing capacity constraints and make resource recommendations to Production Supervisors, Production Control Manager and Manufacturing Manager

    + Track part deliveries (manufactured and purchased) in support of engine assembly and parts markets

    + Improve daily ERP system flow by developing systems to improve material flow and information to increase our response time to customers.

    + Analyze and implement material replenishment options

    + Coordinate monthly shipment plans

    + Quote expedited deliveries of spare parts

    + Assist in long term contract quoting

    + Lead efforts to right-size inventory levels

    + Ensure order priorities are in the correct lineup at machines.

    + Expedite parts when necessary

    Qualifications and Educational Requirements

    + Minimum Associates Degree desired. Bachelor of Science degree in technical or business curriculum strongly preferred.

    + Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a production scheduling or strategic buyer/planning role in a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred.

    + APICS certifications are a plus.

    + Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software and experience with Oracle is a plus.

    + Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes and experience implementing lean manufacturing principles are required.

    + Must possess a high level of organizational and communication skills while multitasking on numerous projects as an individual contributor and leading cross functional teams.

    + Experience with welding and machining preferred
